STIHL® Easy2Start™ System
The Easy2Start™ system eliminates the need for a strong fast pull of the starting cord. It also eliminates the resistance and jerks felt as compression is created in the engine's cylinder.
This trademarked system uses dual spring technology. The operator can slowly pull the starting cord, which winds the assist spring. When the assist spring reaches the correct tension it suddenly releases, engaging the starting spring and starting the engine. This advanced starting system is designed to make starting STIHL products fast and easy for just about anyone.
